The "just say yes" call
Some scam calls are designed to make you say "yes," "I agree," or "that's me" — recordings that can be reused to authorise charges or sound convincing later.
What to do: don't answer scripted yes/no questions from unknown callers. Let unknown numbers go to voicemail; a real caller will leave a message.
Threat examples
Hi, can you hear me okay? Great — and just to confirm, you are the account holder, yes? Say yes so I can note your consent.
