Bank, toll & fine texts

A text impersonating your bank, a road toll, a parking fine or the tax office includes a link or a number to call urgently. The link leads to a fake login or payment page; the number leads to a scammer.

What to do: treat links and numbers inside unexpected texts as hostile. Reach the organisation through its app or a number you look up yourself.
