"Make a PIX to protect your money"
The phone rings and a calm, professional voice says it's from your bank's security team. They mention "suspicious activity" or "a PIX someone tried from your account," and to "protect" or "reverse" it they ask you to make a PIX yourself — to a "safe account."
There is no such thing as a "safe account," and no real bank ever asks you to move your own money to protect it. A genuine bank may call to confirm a transaction, but it will never ask you to transfer money, read out a code, or install an app.
What to do: hang up. Then, from a different phone if you can, call your bank on the number printed on the back of your card. Don't call back on a number the caller gave you.
