The fake PIX receipt

You're selling something or expecting a payment, and the other person sends a screenshot "comprovante" showing the PIX was made — but says "it can take a while to land." You hand over the goods; the money never comes. The receipt was made in an image editor or a fake-receipt generator.

Remember: PIX is instant. If someone says it "takes time to clear," that's the lie.

What to do: never trust a screenshot. Open your own bank app and confirm the money is actually in your balance before you hand over anything.
